The Information technology (IT) industry has become the most robust industry in the world. IT, more than any other industry or economic facet, has an increased productivity, particularly in the developed world, and therefore is a key driver of global economic growth. The Indian IT industry has made many rapid strides and has now established itself as a mature and credible player in the global IT industry. The Indian IT exports are anticipated to attain US$ 175 billion by 2020 out of which the domestic sector will account for US$ 50 billion in earnings. Innovation will also allow the Indian IT sector to tap additional revenue streams worth US$ 50 billion by 2012.

With the above perspectives we announce the 7th IT Awards which will be a benchmark to recognize excellence throughout the IT industry. The Awards will focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organizations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT and will be presented to companies that have demonstrated leadership in using IT for business transformation, optimising costs, developing synergies across businesses and enhancing customer satisfaction.
